Choose one of the following topics and write a narrative paragraph or essay.

Level 1-2: one paragraph 100-200 words
Level 3-4: three paragraph essay 250-300 words
Level 5-6: four to 6 paragraph essay (350 - 500 words)

Should include the following:
transition words/phrases of TIME (red)
at least 1 simile or metaphor (yellow)
at least 1 hyperbole or personification (blue)
include dialogue (at least 4 interactions) (gray)
1-4 adjective clauses (orange)
Highlight the above in different colors.
Format: double-spaced; 1 inch margins; 12 font; Times New Roman

ESSAY STRUCTURE
Introduction – makes an insight into the story, states the purpose of writing, and includes an engaging element to hook the reader;
Main body paragraph– rising, climax; conflict
falling action OR beginning, middle, end
Conclusion – lessons learned from the story.

Marvelous moment of King James.

I had a dream. I’m not Martin Luther King, but I had a dream which is to watch LeBron James who is one of the greatest basketball players since he was in Cleveland. He is an LA Lakers player. Nicknamed “King James”, I first heard his name five years ago. I went to Nike store in order to buy new shoes in South Korea. I fell in love when I saw the shoes. I was happy like a child gets birthday present, then I was dreaming of watching James with his shoes which were engraved with his name.
After 5 years, I came to the United States to study English, even L.A. not New York. The L.A., which is a beautiful place to live is Pandora's box. There is no city as well as L.A., is one of the most well-known cities in the world. One day, My friend and I played basketball in the gym. My friend, Jim said, “Do you want to go to the Staples Center with me? There is a great basketball game this weekend.” I yelled, “I totally should go. I’ve been waiting for a long time.” The ball in my hand is smiling and calling me. “Welcome!.”
Eventually, it’s the day I meet LeBron James. I was so excited that I could hardly sleep last night. As we arrived at the Staples Center, Jim asked, “Where is the entrance? I don’t know because it’s too wide.” I replied, “Can’t you see the people who wear a jersey here? They are all going over there. Let’s follow them.” Since I was surprised that there was a time, which was introduced a spectacular player like showing concerts of Dr. Dre before the basketball game. I captured James playing from my mind to my camera. After watching the game in person, I can understand a little why people call James GOAT. I’m grateful that I live in the same era as him.
작년에 미국와서 버킷리스트였던 르브론 제임스 농구 경기보러 다녀온 것을 적어봤다. ㅎㅎㅎ 다른 영역도 마찬가지지만, 라이팅도 초보라 너무 부끄럽다...;;; 나중에 이 글을 보면서 풋풋하게(?) 여기는 날을 기대하며!
